The deal, in plain words.

Welcome to Photoword (the "App"), published by VTP Labs ("we," "us"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial entertainment. This license is granted by us; the app stores (Google Play, Apple App Store) are merely distribution channels. When you obtain Photoword from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; these Terms govern aspects not covered by it.

2. What you can't do

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where the law expressly allows.
• Modify, redistribute, or sell the App or its content.
• Use the App to harm, harass, or impersonate others.
• Circumvent any technical protection measure built into the App.
• Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to interact with the App.

3. Updates

We may release updates to the App, including required updates that block use of older versions. Required updates are reserved for security fixes, compatibility issues with platform changes, or breaking save-data migrations.

4. Intellectual property

The App — including its code, artwork, photographs, sound effects, design, and the "Photoword" name — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these Terms grants you any IP rights other than the limited license in §1.

Photographs included as puzzle content are licensed for use within the App only. You may not extract, redistribute, or reuse them.

5. Privacy

Our handling of your data is described separately in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

6. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device. Some jurisdictions don't allow disclaimers of implied warranties; in those, the disclaimers above apply only to the fullest extent permitted.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Sections 4, 6, and 7 survive termination.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced through the App or on this page. Continued use after the effective date of the change constitutes acceptance.
